The monthly invasion of box jellyfish prompted the closure yesterday of Hanauma Bay and warnings to swimmers along Waikiki and, above, Ala Moana Beach. The influx of jellyfish was higher than usual, with about 300 of the stinging creatures found at the Kapahulu Groin in Waikiki, lifeguards said.
