Weddings

Kimberly D. Hoiem, daughter of Roy and Nancy Hoiem of Ha'iku, and Kenneth A. Bruce, son of Beatrice Bruce and Richard Bruce of Rochester, N.Y., were married Jan. 12 at the Pearl Harbor Submarine Base Memorial Chapel. The reception followed at the Plaza Club. The bride (1994 University of Hawai'i-Manoa bachelor's) is a paralegal. The groom is an ensign in the Navy. They live in Honolulu.

Jaymie Ayami Shintaku, daughter of Glenn and Michelle Shintaku of Kalihi and Lynn and Dean Horio of 'Aiea, and Randy Acierto Soriano, son of Romeo and Perlita Soriano of Waipahu, were married Nov. 17 at the Hale Koa Hotel. The reception followed at the hotel. The bride (1994 'Aiea High) is a bartender. The groom (1993 Pearl City High) has a daughter, Neve Soriano, 5, and he is an engineering supervisor. The couple lives in 'Aiea.
