Stuck for prom clothes ideas? Try duct tape

Don't want to shell out the bucks for a traditional prom outfit? Duct tape just might be the latest trend in prom formalwear: It's cheap. It's durable. And it could win you a scholarship.

The Duck-brand duct tape Stuck at Prom contest, sponsored by Manco Inc., will award the first-place couple a $2,500 scholarship each for creative clothing made from or accessorized with duct tape.

In addition, $2,500 will go to the school holding the prom.

The winning couple will be selected based on originality, workmanship, quantity of Duck Tape used and creative use of accessories. The tape comes in 18 varieties, from the standard silver-gray to camouflage.
