Boys hospitalized after crash on H-1
Two boys, 7 and 11, remained hospitalized in guarded condition yesterday after an accident Monday in the eastbound lanes of the H-1 Freeway.
They were passengers in a Chevy Corsica four-door sedan that was stopped or stalled in the left lane, east of the Waiawa Road overpass, police said.
A Chevy van traveling east collided with the Corsica, police said. Neither driver was injured, but four juveniles and one woman were taken to The Queen's Medical Center. The others were treated and released, and the condition of the two remaining boys, initially listed as critical, was upgraded to guarded.
Police consider speed, but not alcohol, to be a possible factor in the accident.
Police seek help in finding fugitive
Police have asked for help finding a 39-year-old man wanted on a Family Court warrant in connection with a domestic violence case.
William Wolters Jr. was armed on previous occasions and should be considered dangerous, police said. He frequents the Leeward Coast and was last seen driving a black Oldsmobile Cutlass.
Wolters is 5 feet 10, 175 pounds, with a medium build and brown hair, hazel eyes and a mustache. He also has tattoos: the name "Chandra" on his left upper arm, a black panther on the left side of his chest and a tiger on his back.
