Movie Openings

"Dark Blue World": An old-fashioned World War II romance, with a portrait of Czech pilots in the Royal Air Force before, during and after the war. Partly in Czech, with English subtitles. Opens tomorrow at Varsity Twin. (R).

"Fat Girl": A brutally truthful story of the first sexual experiences of a 15-year-old sexpot and her pudgy 12-year-old sister. In French, with English subtitles. Opens tomorrow at Restaurant Row Theatres. (Not rated; intended for mature audiences).

"Harrison's Flowers": David Strathairn is a photographer, Andie MacDowell is his wife. She refuses to believe he's been killed covering the war in the Balkans and is determined to find him. Opens tomorrow at Ward Stadium 16-Plex. (R).

"Ice Age": An animated comedy about a woolly mammoth, a saber-toothed tiger and a sloth, who team up to rescue a human baby. Voices by Denis Leary, John Leguizamo and Ray Romano.
