Wahiawa Pineapple Run scheduled for April 20

The 27th annual Wahiawa Pineapple Run will be April 20 at 7 a.m.

The race will begin and end at Ka'ala Elementary School in Wahiawa. The course this year is different than in year's past, and will include a paved segment through pineapple fields.

All participants will receive a free pineapple, courtesy of Dole and Del Monte corporations.

Proceeds from the race will benefit Wahiawa General Hospital's Pacific SportsCare program and the American Cancer Societies Relay for Life.

In addition to the elite division, there will also be age-group divisions for men and women, as well as a military division.

Cost for the race is $20. Entry forms are available at Wahiawa General Hospital, Dots, American Cancer Society, Leeward Branch, the Running Room, Foot Locker Pearlridge and Ala Moana, NikeTown and Champs Pearlridge.
