Police investigate bilking of couple

Detectives are investigating a 41-year-old Manoa man arrested Thursday on suspicion of bilking an 'Aiea couple.

The victims asked the man to sell certain stock shares and bring the money back to them, but he allegedly invested it for his own benefit, forging the 74-year-old wife's signature, police said.

Police did not say how much was taken but as first-degree theft it had to have been more than $20,000.
