Big Apple drag queen in town to entertain faithful at Hula's

Edie, voted New York's "best drag queen 2000" by the Big Apple's largest gay publication, HX Magazine, will perform at 11 p.m. Sunday at Hula's Bar & Lei Stand, 134 Kapahulu Ave. But not before cruising the Islands aboard the Atlantis this week, with a mostly gay clientele.
Edie really gets around. She was named best dance artist by peers at the Glammy Awards; she was Provincetown's showgirl of the year and entertainer of the year last summer.
She has appeared at the last three Wigstocks, toured extensively with six ballet and tap companies, including the Pacific Northwest Ballet, Ballet Chicago and Ballet Le Grand Diva and finally found her niche and a devoted audience base at the Barracuda Lounge in New York City's Chelsea neighborhood.
She also has performed in other clubs nationwide.
Look for Edie in the film "Pot Luck" this year.
Go-go dancers will perform from 6 to 11 p.m., preceding Edie's performance.
Admission is free.
