Tonight's Must-See
"The Job," 8:30 p.m., ABC. One of TV's better shows, with likeable people doing dreadful deeds. Tonight the subject is temptation. Frank (Lenny Clarke) is tempted by food. Straight-arrow Pip (Bill Nunn) is tempted to start an affair. McNeil (Denis Leary) is paying for past temptation. Beautifully done tales about cops in chaos.
Of Note
"Survivor: Marquesas," 7 p.m., CBS. The show has one more Wednesday outing before moving back to its Thursday spot.
"Live From Lincoln Center: Porgy and Bess," 8 p.m., PBS. George Gershwin's 1930s Broadway folk opera is presented by the Houston Grand Opera, with Alvy Powell and Marguita Lister in the title roles.
