Tonight's Must-See

Skating, 7 p.m., ABC. In the Olympic aftermath, figure-skating should be hot again. Here are the world championships, which are tape-delayed from Nagano, Japan. Tonight, that includes pairs and men. The latter should offer another look at Alexei Yagudin, the Russian gold-medalist who has all the elements — flash, flair and technical skill — to become a break-out star. It also should have Timothy Goebel, the American who's become a charismatic little jumping star. The women get their turn Saturday.

Of Note

Basketball, 2:30 p.m., CBS. The NCAA tournament continues with another doubleheader. By Sunday night, we'll know the final four.

"Friends," 7 p.m., NBC. Here's a funny rerun, from back when Ross and Mona were still together. She wants to send out cute Christmas cards from them as a couple. This stirs his fear of commitment and of cute cards.

"My Guide To Becoming a Rock Star," 9 and 9:30 p.m., WB. The first episode has the band trying a road trip. The second has a gig at a bar where the band must guarantee that 100 people will show up.

"Jaws" (1975), 8 p.m., TNT. On the eve of the 20th-anniversary re-release of Steven Spielberg's masterpiece, "ET," we get another great film. This is the killer-shark tale that established Spielberg as the world's best adventure director.

"Leap of Faith," 7:30 p.m., NBC. Now that she's back in the singles dating scene, Faith decides she needs to loosen up. She soon takes that further than expected.

"Great Performances," 8 p.m., PBS. While watching "Jaws" you might wonder which filmmakers Steven Spielberg admires. Here's one answer: This profiles one of Spielberg's heroes, the late Akira Kurosawa, masterful director of "Seven Samurai," "Rashoman" and more.
