Lost club head, shared a prize

Advertiser Staff

Fred Kuriyama
Mililani Golf Club
Hole No. 12, 140 yards, 8-iron

This hole-in-one occurred during the annual Wisteria golf tournament and was extraordinary for two reasons.

First, the ball was hit well. So well, in fact, that the club head flew off into the ravine in front of the tee box and was never recovered.

Second, I did not win the closest-to-the-pin prize outright — another golfer in the tournament aced the same hole, so I had to share the prize money with another golfer.
