Predrag Savovic is going to the Final Four weekend in Atlanta after all.

Savovic, who completed his senior season with the University of Hawai'i men's basketball team last week, was selected yesterday to play in the National Association of Basketball Coaches College All-Star Game.

Savovic was one of 12 seniors from across the nation selected to the NABC All-Star Team, which will play the Harlem Globetrotters on March 29. The game will take place at Georgia Tech's Alexander Memorial Coliseum.

The NCAA Final Four will also take place in Atlanta that weekend.

"It's another honor for him to get to play in the game," UH head coach Riley Wallace said. "He gets to play among the elite players in the country and if he does well, it will help his chances in the NBA Draft."

Savovic, a 6-foot-6 guard from Yugoslavia, led Hawai'i with 20.3 points per game and 75 3-pointers. He is a two-time All-Western Athletic Conference first-team selection, and was an honorable mention All-America selection this season.

The only other player from Hawai'i ever invited to play in the NABC All-Star Game was Anthony Carter in 1998. Carter now plays for the Miami Heat.

Savovic was also invited to the Portsmouth Invitational at Portsmouth, Va., in April, but will not participate in that all-star game because of conflicts with his academic schedule. He is expected to graduate in May with a double major in international business and finance.
