Police hunt for 2 parole violators

Authorities yesterday were searching for two fugitives who are wanted for parole violations and are considered armed and dangerous.

Fred Masami Kiyabu Jr., 42, and Michael Cregan, 33, are frequently seen together, police said.

Kiyabu has 14 felony convictions for attempted murder, robbery, extortion and weapons offenses. Police believe Kiyabu is armed with a shotgun. He has been seen in the Honolulu, Waipahu and Salt Lake areas. He may be driving either a stolen dark-colored sport utility vehicle or Dodge pick-up truck.

Kiyabu is 5 feet 7 inches tall, 140 pounds with a medium build. He has brown hair, brown eyes, a slight mustache and a tattoo on his right arm.

Cregan has four felony convictions for drugs and a weapon offense. He is believed to be wearing body armor and armed with a handgun.

He may be driving a stolen Dodge Neon or sport utility vehicle. Cregan frequents the Waipahu, Honolulu and 'Ewa Beach areas.

Cregan is 5 feet 9 inches tall, 160 pounds with a medium build. He has black hair and brown eyes.
