FRIDAY

• It's the deadline to submit nominations for the AMERICAN SOCIETY OF SAFETY ENGINEERS (Hawai'i Chapter) Excellence in Safety Awards, recognizing businesses for promoting occupational safety. Nominations are accepted in three categories — small employers (fewer than 50 employees), medium employers (50-125), and large employers (more than 125 ). Judging will be based on two criteria — a better-than-average worker injury rate for their industry, and maintenance of a safety program meeting Hawai'i Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards. Awards will be presented at an April 25-26 conference at the Sheraton-Waikiki. Information and forms: call 564-8244.
