What's open and closed Good Friday

Here's what's open and closed on Good Friday, March 29.

GOVERNMENT

  • Federal offices: Open.
  • State offices: Closed.
  • City, county offices: Closed.

SCHOOLS

  • Public: Closed.
  • UH: No classes; offices closed; Sinclair and Hamilton libraries closed.

PUBLIC SERVICES

  • Libraries: All closed Friday and Easter Sunday.
  • heBus: state holiday schedule (with Express service, and slightly reduced, regular weekday service for major military bases and downtown).
  • On-street parking: Free, except for Kalakaua Avenue metered stalls along Kapi'olani Park; holiday towaway zone parking as permitted by sign; municipal lots must be fed.
  • Traffic: No coning.
  • Trash: Regular rubbish pickup.
  • Landfills and convenience centers: Open.
  • Open Markets: Closed.
  • Municipal golf courses: Open.
  • City recreation centers: Open.
  • Mail: Regular residential and business delivery, post office hours, and mailbox pickups.

  • Blood bank: Dillingham center open; downtown center closed.
