Boxing

April 20 — Hawai'i Junior Olympic Boxing Championships. For boxers who are 15 and 16 years old on Aug. 1, 2002. At Wai'anae Regional Park. Weigh-ins at 11 a.m. Fights start at 7 p.m. Winners advance to National Championships. All other boxers may compete in non-tournament bouts. April 28 — Fifth annual Race Against Violence. 7 a.m. start near 3113 Manoa Road. Proceeds to Domestic Violence Clearinghouse and University of Hawai'i women's cross country team, organized by Faerber's Flyers.
