Cane Haul Road and friends plan a sale of surplus goods

Advertiser Staff

Grant Kagimoto, seller of silk-screened products under the Cane Haul Road label for the past quarter-century, has gotten together with some of his artist friends to organize a "2nds Sale" to generate cash flow at what Kagimoto calls "a very tough time of the year, post-Christmas and pre-Mother's Day."

To entice shoppers, they are offering packaged gourmet foods, ornate jewelry, functional ceramics, vintage kimono silks and other ethnic fabrics, amusing trinkets and bargains in surplus merchandise, remnants and silk-screened T-shirts, aprons and tea towels.

The sale takes place from 9 a.m. to1 p.m. today at the Kuhio School cafeteria, 2759 S. King St.
