'CSI' writer gives spin-off high reviews

By John Kiesewetter
Cincinnati Enquirer

Ann Donahue makes a bold prediction about the "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" spin-off set in Miami and airing tonight. "I think people will love it," she says.

OK, so she's a little biased. She's one of the writers on the "Cross-Jurisdictions" episode. She also was involved in the casting of David Caruso ("NYPD Blue") and Emily Procter (Ainsley Hayes on "The West Wing").

In the episode, at 9 tonight on CBS, Las Vegas forensics experts Gil Grissom (William Petersen) and Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) investigate the murder of the former Las Vegas chief of detectives during a kinky sex party, and the disappearance of his wife and daughter. The "CSI" team heads to Miami, where they hook up with Caruso and Procter.
