Missing rider found dead

LIHU'E, Kaua'i — A search team using trained dogs yesterday located the body of a horseman missing since he went riding Monday.

Dallas Adams, 48, of Kekaha, failed to return home after telling his family he would be riding in the mountains or beach area near Kekaha.

His riderless horse was located at the end of the day at Kekaha Gardens Park.

Adams' body was found not far from Koke'e Road. Police said there was no evidence of foul play. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death.
