Gun found in truck of convicted felon
Police found a handgun in the truck of a convicted felon suspected in a shooting late Sunday in 'Ewa Beach. Since a victim hasn't been located, police are investigating firearms charges against the man.
A witness testified seeing the suspect's white truck stopped at Fort Weaver and Makule roads at 10:10 p.m., police said, along with a black truck that had been in pursuit. The witness said someone in the white truck then fired a shot into the black truck.
The white truck was found just after midnight and its occupants, a 37-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, were arrested and remained in police custody this morning.
The black truck wasn't located, police said. An investigation turned up the handgun in the truck, police said, leaving the man open to a felon-in-possession charge.
