History lives at Mission Houses

The Mission Houses Museum is sponsoring "Ka Ho'ike Mo'olelo, A History Fair," 10 a.m.-3 p.m. tomorrow at the museum at 553 S. King St. The annual festival includes demonstrations of Hawaiian and American crafts, music, a talk on Hawaiian medicinal plants and their uses, and a chance to meet members of a group that specializes in Civil War re-enactments.
The free event, including today's tours of the historic houses and printing office, complements "A Capital Day, Down Capitol Way," offereing free admissions to historic locations in the capitol district. Mission Houses information: 531-0481. "Capital Day" information: 523-2900.
