Advertiser StaffMichelle Wie, 12, shot a 78 today at Standard Country Club in Duluth, Ga., to qualify for a U.S. Women's Open sectional.
Wie, a Punahou seventh-grader, will compete in a sectional at Valencia, Calif., June 10.
Qualifiers from this sectional will advance to play in the U.S. Women's Open July 4-7 at the Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan.
Wie was one of 14 qualifiers who competed in 47 degree weather.
