Tonight's Must-See

"Divas Las Vegas," 5:30 p.m., VH1. This is the day the cable networks start to take over. The "sweeps" ratings month has ended for broadcast TV and that means there will be lots of reruns during the next four months, brightened by nonfiction specials and series. It also means the cable channels can seize more viewers. That starts with this annual concert, a fund-raiser for efforts to keep school music programs alive. Mostly, this live concert reminds us that there are some gifted female singers out there. There are lots of current stars — Celine Dion, Shakira, Mary J. Blige, Anastacia — plus two classics (Cher and Stevie Nicks) and a country trio (the Dixie Chicks). Ellen DeGeneres is host.

Of Note

"Blade" (1998), 7 p.m., Fox. Wesley Snipes brings a comic-book character to life. He plays a guy stalking modern vampires.

"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," 7 and 8 p.m., CBS. In the first rerun, an apartment has lots of blood but no body. In the second, Warrick Brown (Gary Dourdan) is in charge during a night shift. He finds a murder case that could involve his boss's daughter.

"Friends," 7 p.m., NBC. As the rerun season begins, we get a funny episode in which Chandler is obsessed with what Monica is keeping in a locked closet.

"Frasier," 7:30 p.m., NBC. In a terrific rerun, Frasier is suddenly overwhelmed with blind dates. Allison Janney guests.

"Will & Grace," 8 p.m., NBC. Lesley Ann Warren plays the mistress of Will's father. Now she's dating someone else without realizing he's gay.

"The Lost Battalion" (2001). 6 and 10 p.m., A&E. Ricky Schroder plays the New York lawyer who found himself in charge of a World War I unit, surrounded by the enemy.
