The ashes of MIKE DIFFENDERFER, one of the world's most influential surfboard shapers and the man who named the Banzai Pipeline on O'ahu's North Shore, will be scattered at sea Saturday afternoon. Diffenderfer died May 16 at Kahuku Hospital after a long battle with brain tumors and complications caused by radiation. He was 64. See story.

ROBERT CISCO, honored last year by the Honolulu Rotary Club as a living treasure, was a public accountant with business sense. He died Monday at St. Francis-West Hospice at 92. See story.

AUDREY ODELIA AKINA, 62, of Waimea, Hawai'i, died May 15, 2002. Born in Honolulu. A homemaker and former supervisor with Libby's Cannery, Honolulu. Survived by husband, Charles Jr.; sons, Charles III and James "Kimo"; daughter, Adrianne; brothers, Andrew Kipapa and William Makahilahila; sisters, Cynthia Makahilahila, Janice Young and Aileen Kamau; three grandchildren; hanai son, Lambert Wong; hanai daughters, Janice Ogamori and Christine Lloyd. PETER AMCOTTS, 78, of Marin County, Calif., died May 7, 2002. Born in Buckinghamshire, England. International agribusiness engineering consultant; consulting engineer for reconstruction of post-tidal wave Hilo, to Henry Kaiser for Hawai'i Kai, manager/designer of Kalani Iki; vice president of engineering for Castle & Cooke for construction of Mililani Town; consultant to Alexander & Baldwin for Aepoena Reservoir, Kaua'i; state senior project manager for The Villages of Kapolei. Survived by wife, Daphne; daughters, Karen and Julie; four grandchildren; brother, Bill; sister, Kathleen. Service to be held on a boat off Diamond Head in July.

ANGELINE "GENA" RAPOZO ANDRADE, 81, of Kapa'a, Kaua'i died May 16, 2002. Born in Kilauea, Kaua'i. A homemaker. Survived by sons, Carlos, Russell, Pierre, Paul and Kimo; daughter, Susan; sister, Katherine Silva; brother, William Rapozo; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
