BMX riders get chance to participate in charity event
Advertiser Staff
BMX enthusiasts will get a chance to show their stuff while competing in the Race for Life, a national event to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The local portion of the competition will be June 15 at the BMX track at Wheeler Army Air Field. Participants will solicit donations in order to race and then can qualify for prizes at the local and national levels.
Unlike sanctioned BMX events, anyone can participate in the Race for Life without becoming an ABA member. There is a minimum donation of $10 to compete.
