International agribusiness engineering consultant; captain in the British Royal and Indian Corps of Engineers during World War II and adviser to Lord Louis Mountbatten; Started an engineering firm in Kenya, Africa; consulting engineer for reconstruction of post-tidal wave Hilo; consultant to Henry Kaiser for Hawai'i Kai; manager/designer of Kalani Iki; vice president of engineering for Castle & Cooke for construction of Mililani Town; consultant to Alexander & Baldwin for Aepoena Reservoir, Kaua'i; state senior project manager for The Villages of Kapolei. Survived by wife, Daphne; daughters, Karen and Julie; four grandchildren; brother, Bill; sister, Kathleen. Service to be held on a boat off Diamond Head in July.
FRANCES ANN BROWN, 71, of Wai'anae, died May 20, 2002. Born in Honolulu. A member of Church of God Prophecy, Nanakuli.
