Interplanetary fun awaits

Advertiser Staff

Parents and keiki don't have to travel to outer space to get a glimpse of Mars or the international space station. A virtual, 360-degree tour of the red planet and the space station are among several interactive activities at Pearlridge Center's "Space Adventure," an interactive exhibit offered June 15 through July 7.

Families will get a chance to play with computer-controlled rover vehicles, strap into an astronaut training simulator, discover constellations through a planetarium show, and build and launch model rockets. The free exhibit will be at Pearlridge Uptown and Downtown. The hours: noon to 8 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Saturdays; and 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. Call 488-0981 for details.
