Funeral arrangements were still pending yesterday for PALEKA LEINA'ALA MATTOS, a highly respected kumu hula who died in her sleep Saturday. Mattos, 61, was kumu hula of Hula Halau O Kamuela, a school established by her uncle, Sam Kamuela Nae'ole, in the mid-1940s. See story.

ELLEN LUIKA GILMAN-HINCH, 60, of Mililani, died May 13, 2002. Born in Honolulu. City groundskeeper. Survived by daughter, Estrelita "Lita" Billedo; grandchildren, Shylynn, Lashey, Tatiana, Kalani and Nathan. Visitation 4 p.m. Wednesday at Wahiawa Assembly of God Church; service 5 p.m. Aloha attire. Arrangements by Moanalua Mortuary.

MAE SHIZUE IGARASHI, 90, of Honolulu, died May 21, 2002. Born in Hule'ia, Kaua'i. Retired Hilton Hawaiian Village, Rainbow Tower, head pantry worker. Survived by sons, Lawrence and Thomas "Tommy" "Bozo"; daughters, Evelyn Tsukamoto, Sharon Pepple and Shirley Tsumoto; brothers, Tokuo, Larry, Kent and Clifford Kajiwara; sisters, Margaret Hodge and Annette Nishida; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Service 6 p.m. Thursday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. No flowers. Casual attire.

JOSEPH KAMAHOAHOA KAMA, 66, of Honolulu, died May 21, 2002. Born in Honolulu. Founder of Iolani Guard Service Inc. Survived by wife, Violet; sons, Joseph Jr. and Leonard "Pake"; daughters, Christine Kama Ross, Viola Kama Kaupu, Ululani Kama Kesio, Lucille, JoAnn, and Lorraine Kama Ige; seven grandchildren; brother, Leonard "Leo." BECKY KEAHIAHI MOKUAU, 88, of Ho'olehua, Moloka'i, died May 17, 2002. Born in Honolulu. Member of the Hikiola Store. Survived by sons, Ernest, George and Robert; daughters, Becky Kaaihili, Harriet Smith and Bernice Ornellas; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Frances Klein, Margaret Kaialau and Bernice Kong.
