Three hurt in Big Island crash

Advertiser Staff

HILO, Hawai'i — Three Hilo residents were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Keaukaha.

The Waiakea fire rescue squad had to use the jaws of life device to free them from the tangled wreckage.

Police yesterday still had few details about the collision in which cars driven by Victor Henson III, 60, and Naomi Kuritani, 53, collided on Kalaniana'ole Avenue near Onekahakaha Road.

Fire department reports said one of the cars crossed the center line and hit the other car.
