Tonight's Must-See

"The Price is Right Salutes the United States Coast Guard" (7 p.m., CBS) and "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" (8 p.m., ABC). First, CBS has a prime-time "Price is Right" special. This one has Coast Guard people competing. Meanwhile, ABC has remembered all those "Millionaire" episodes it taped, then ignored. The show — which first blossomed in the summer — is back in its Thursday timeslot now.

"The Devil's Playground," 5:30 p.m., Cinemax. Religion, the Amish feel, should be an informed choice. So when Amish children turn 16, they can sample the ways of the outside world. Later, usually between 18 and 22, they can return to the clothes and the rules of Amish life. That's illustrated in this fascinating film. We see likeable people, cramming all of their teen angst into a short burst. Amish teen Velda Lehman reflects: "God talks to me in one ear, Satan in the other." Both sides win in this film as teens discover drugs, drink, cars, sex and (sometimes) deep spirituality.

Of Note

"Arachnophobia" (1990), 7 p.m., Fox. Jeff Daniels and John Goodman star in a story of a small town overrun by spiders.

"The Jamie Kennedy Experiment," 7 p.m., WB. Kennedy's acting talent adds to his candid-camera schemes. Tonight he pretends to be a tour guide at Bob Saget's house; then, he's an odd judge.

"Live From Lincoln Center," 8 p.m., PBS. The New York City Ballet prepares and performs original works.

"Friends," 7 p.m., NBC. Building one of its best seasons, this show came up with a great notion: Ross finally has the perfect girlfriend, Mona (Bonnie Somerville). Now he really doesn't want her to know that his ex-wife is living with him and is expecting his child.
