UH football coaches to offer analysis

University of Hawai'i football coaches Rich Miano and Dan Morrison will be presenting game film along with their analysis of the team's win over San Jose State at today's Na Koa Football Club meeting at the All Star Cafe.

The luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. and is open to the public for $12, which includes a buffet lunch.

TENNIS

• Awards: The Yamauchi family of Kailua, Kona was named Family of the Year at the 2002 U.S. Tennis Association/Hawai'i Pacific Section Awards Dinner.

The Yamauchis — Wayne, Beverly, David and Kevin — have all worked as volunteers. Beverly has also served as a tournament director and certified referee. All play and participate in tennis programs.

Others honored:

  • Jim Howe Sportsmanship Awards: Kyle Ellison (Maui) and Kelly Hasegawa (Hilo).
  • Member Club of the Year: Diamond Head Tennis Center.
  • Tennis Facility of the Year: Hilton Waikoloa Village.
  • Presidents Awards: Walter Wong (Honolulu) and Cheryl Shrum (Kailua, Kona).
  • Special Service Awards: Leo Kunimoto (Hilo), Masu Kusume Dyer (Honolulu) and Robert Keaunui (Waimanalo).
  • District Service Awards: Kelly Moran (East Hawai'i), Ludwig Pfleger (West Hawai'i), Rosemary Smythe (Kaua'i), Mike Kinoshita (Maui) and Brian Miyagi (O'ahu).
  • Special Friend of Tennis: Aloha Airlines, for its significant contributions to support junior tennis.
