Tonight's Must-See

Election coverage, 6:30 p.m., KITV, KGMB, KHNL, KHON. It's Election Day. And with Hawai'i gubernatorial candidates Linda Lingle and Mazie Hirono in a dead heat in pre-election polls, this governor's race (like the last one) is bound to be a nail-biter worth tracking to the end. If coverage close to home still isn't enough, follow national election results — some top gubernatorial and U.S. Senate seats are up for grabs on the Mainland as well — on CNN, MSNBC or FOX News throughout the afternoon and evening. By the way, make sure you vote!

Of Note

"Journeys With George," 7:30 p.m., HBO. While covering George W. Bush's presidential campaign for NBC, Alexandra Pelosi also made a personal documentary. Rumors had spread that it would damage Bush. Instead, it's a lightly enjoyable film in which Bush seems pleasant enough and the reporting process often seems paralyzed by trivia.

"The Daily Show," 9 & 10:30 p.m., Comedy Central. This show usually is terrific, but it's especially good on nights like this. No one spoofs the elections quite like Jon Stewart and Co.
