Tonight's Must-See
Election coverage, 6:30 p.m., KITV, KGMB, KHNL, KHON. It's Election Day. And with Hawai'i gubernatorial candidates Linda Lingle and Mazie Hirono in a dead heat in pre-election polls, this governor's race (like the last one) is bound to be a nail-biter worth tracking to the end. If coverage close to home still isn't enough, follow national election results some top gubernatorial and U.S. Senate seats are up for grabs on the Mainland as well on CNN, MSNBC or FOX News throughout the afternoon and evening. By the way, make sure you vote!
Of Note
"Journeys With George," 7:30 p.m., HBO. While covering George W. Bush's presidential campaign for NBC, Alexandra Pelosi also made a personal documentary. Rumors had spread that it would damage Bush. Instead, it's a lightly enjoyable film in which Bush seems pleasant enough and the reporting process often seems paralyzed by trivia.
"The Daily Show," 9 & 10:30 p.m., Comedy Central. This show usually is terrific, but it's especially good on nights like this. No one spoofs the elections quite like Jon Stewart and Co.
