400 compete in Iolani cross country

More than 400 runners competed in the ninth annual Iolani Intermediate Invitational cross country meet, held Thursday at Kapi'olani Park.

Open to O'ahu private and public schools, the meet is regarded as the O'ahu championship.

Despite not having an organized league to compete in, 11 public schools took part in the event.

Boys (two miles)
