UH softball team hosts Fall Classic

The University of Hawai'i softball team starts the 2002-03 season with its Fall Classic, starting Saturday at the softball complex on the UH campus.

Joining UH for the three-day tournament will be Chaminade, Hawai'i Pacific, Brigham Young-Hawai'i and Hawai'i-Hilo.

Bob Coolen begins his 11th season as head coach for the Rainbow Wahine, whose regular season officially begins Feb. 6, 2003, in the Chevron Paradise Classic.

This weekend's schedule:

Saturday — UH-Green vs. Chaminade, 10 a.m. UH-Green vs. HPU, noon. BYUH vs. HPU, 2. UH-White vs. Chaminade, 4. BYUH vs. UH-Hilo, 6. UH-White vs. UH-Hilo, 8.

Sunday — Chaminade vs. HPU, 11 a.m. Chaminade vs. UH-Hilo, 1 p.m. UH-White vs. HPU, 3. UH-Green vs. UH-Hilo, 5.

Monday — BYUH vs. Chaminade, 9 a.m. UH-Hilo vs. HPU, 11. UH-Green vs. BYUH, 1 p.m. UH-White vs. BYUH, 3. UH-White vs. UH-Green, 5.
