Advertiser Staff

A former supervising inspector pleaded guilty to acting as an accomplice to theft in the criminal case involving state procurement practices at the Honolulu International Airport, the state attorney general announced today.

Attorney General Earl Anzai said Harry H. Shibuya's plea entered before Circuit Judge Dan Kochi is the first in what may be other guilty pleas arising from the probe.

Shibuya is expected to cooperate with state and federal agencies in the ongoing investigation.
