Suzuki, Asao team to win tournament

Senior pro Lance Suzuki and amateur partner Norman-Ganin Asao won the second annual Bridgestone Pro-Scratch Championship, which ended Tuesday at Pearl Country Club.
Suzuki and Asao opened with a 14-under 58 Monday in the scramble portion of the event. In Tuesday's four-ball stroke play format (better ball of the team), their score was 68 for a 126 total.
David Ishii and Guy Yamamoto (63-65) finished two shots back along with Beau Yokomoto and Blaine Kimura (61-67).
OJGA registration to be Dec. 1
Registration for the 2003 O'ahu Junior Golf Association season will be Dec. 1, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Ala Wai Clubhouse Ballroom.
All returning Players' Tour members will receive applications in the mail.
New members must pass a playing ability test to sign up.

Waikoloa event raises $11,925
The Waikoloa Beach Resort gave the Hawai'i State Women's Golf Foundation a $10,000 donation and raised $1,925 through a silent auction at its inaugural Waikoloa Women's Golf Challenge.
Coreen Zablan and Lily Yao, co-chair of the women's golf foundation, won the tournament. The fund-raising arm of the Hawai'i State Women's Golf Association provides scholarships and financial assistance to female golfers.
The tournament was played at the resort's Kings' and Beach courses.
