Weng leads BYUH's sweep of Chaminade

Yu Chuan Weng had 17 kills to lead the Brigham Young University-Hawai'i women's volleyball team to a 30-25, 30-14, 30-21 victory over Chaminade in a Pacific West Conference match at Lai'e last night.
The Seasiders improve to 20-2 overall and 17-2 in league, while Chaminade dropped to 15-6, 11-5.

Rankings: BYUH remains at No. 3 in the NCAA II West Region Volleyball rankings. The regional rankings are used to determine which teams will be invited to the six-team NCAA II West Regional Tournament.
Chaminade is fifth in the West Region poll and Hawai'i Pacific (11-7, 7-5) is seventh.
HPU's Garbelotti honored: Hawai'i Pacific's Susy Garbelotti earned Pacific West Conference player of the week honors for the second time this season after recording her first career triple-double in a conference win against Chaminade last week. Garbelotti, a senior middle blocker from Foz Do Iguacu, Brazil, had 38 kills, 14 digs and 10 blocks.
TENNIS
HPU men top UH: The Hawai'i Pacific University men's tennis team knocked off the University of Hawai'i, 4-1, yesterday to claim the City Intercollegiate Championship at the UH Tennis Complex.
Jan Tribler, of HPU, beat Reginaldo Moralejo, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 in No. 1 singles.
