Tour de Cure bike event set for Nov. 17

The American Diabetes Association Hawai'i's Bud Light Tour de Cure bicycling event will be Nov. 17.

The event, which will have a 25- and 50-kilometer ride, will begin and end at Kapi'olani Park.

The 50-kilometer ride will begin at 7 a.m. and the 25-kilometer ride will start at 7:30 a.m.

The cost is $30 per individual and $35 per team.

Registration will be accepted race day. All participants will receive a T-shirt.

Instructors workshop set for Princeville

The Professional Tennis Registry will conduct a teaching essentials certification workshop at the Princeville Resort Tennis Club in Princeville, Hawai'i, from Nov. 30 through Dec. 2.

The workshop is for established and prospective instructors who wish to become certified by the PTR.

The workshop will be from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, with the certification test on Dec. 1.

Cost is $90 for PTR members and $185 for non-members, which includes affiliate membership in the PTR.
