Doubles Compass Draw set for Nov. 16-17 at Schofield Tennis Facility: The Hawai'i Pacific Tennis Foundation is sponsoring compass draw tournaments in men's, women's and mixed double Saturday and Sunday, November 16 and 17 at the Schofield Barracks Tennis Facility. Win or lose, players keep competing in a fun, yet vigorous format. Players will play best of three sets regular scoring in each match.
Anyone with base access is welcome to attend and compete. The entry is only $10 per person.
The event is designed for players of all ages and abilities, as losing players will play as much as winning players. Fun and competition are keys in these events.
In addition to tournament play, the event will include a Saturday potluck luncheon. The Foundation will provide beverages.

Thanksgiving Turkey Mixed Doubles Round Robin set for Nov. 23: Come join the crew for a fun afternoon of mixed doubles on Saturday, November 23 at the Schofield Barracks Tennis Courts. Play will start at 11 am and run through the afternoon. With Thanksgiving coming up, champions will receive a 20 pound turkey while a 10 pound turkey will go to second place finishers. Third and fourth place will receive two cornish hens and stuffing mix respectively.
The format is handicapped scoring which will make matches more competitive, as competitors play for Thanksgiving food. Teams pay $20 per team plus a pot luck dish. As usual, the Foundation will provide beverages, balls and awards.
