Holiday Giving Calendar

• Honolulu City Lights trolley Tours, benefitting the Hawaii Foodbank, 6:30 p.m. Dec. 8-23 and Dec. 26-30. Tickets go on sale Nov. 29 at the customer information booth at Ward Warehouse: $2.50 per person, free for children 3 and younger. Limit 10 tickets per person, while supplies last. Departure information: 593-2376.

• Senior Giving Trees, decorated with ornaments labeled with gift wishes of disadvantaged seniors, will be on display at Ward Warehouse and Ward Centre Nov. 29-Dec. 15. Public invited to select an ornament and grant a wish.

• "MistleToe Magic," a designer boutique shopping experience by Ballet Hawaii, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Dec. 1 in Nu'uanu. Three homes on Dowsett Avenue will feature boutiques selling ornaments, poinsettias, wreaths and handcrafted and imported items. Ballet Hawaii will sell dance-themed items and offer gift-wrapping in its "Nutcracker Suite." Tickets are $20 in advance by calling 395-7216, or $25 at the event. Fee covers holiday sweets by Godiva Chocolates and Bubbies Ice Cream, as well as shuttle service from 42 Puiwa Road to the event.

• 48th Annual Festival of Trees, fund-raiser for The Queen's Medical Center, with gala cocktail party at kick-off and custom-decorated Christmas trees. Gala cocktail party is 6-8 p.m. Dec. 5; call 547-4397 for tickets. The Festival of Trees, also featuring handmade holiday decorations and Christmas shadow boxes, is Dec. 6-8 in the Ward Warehouse conference rooms, second floor; $1 admission, free for children 12 and younger.

• IHS Holiday Gift Cards, benefitting the Institute for Human Services; order deadline Dec. 9. For each $10 donation (which will provide food and shelter for a homeless person for one night), IHS will mail a hand-addressed, personalized holiday gift card with the donor's return address to their designated recipient.
