'8 Mile' producer interviewed for TV at Turtle Bay

SIGHT 'EMS: Brian Grazer, executive producer of Eminem's "8 Mile" movie hit, was at the Turtle Bay Resort for a day, where he was interviewed by Linda Coble for an "Entertainment Tonight" segment. Alas, poor surf conditions at the North Shore sent him back home. Grazer's filmography includes the Hawai'i-filmed "Blue Crush," the Oscar-winning "A Beautiful Mind" and such varied fare as "Apollo 13" and "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas." ...

NAMES 'N' PLACES: Na Hoku Hanohano Award winners Kawai Cockett & the Lei Kukui Serenaders and Ku'uipo Kumukahi will help the Salvation Army launch its annual holiday giving program with a noontime entertainment bash today at downtown's Tamarind Park. It's one of the rare times, too, that competing broadcast journalists convene in the spirit of kokua for such community endeavors as the Lokahi Tree, Toys for Tots and Angel Tree programs, so count on TV anchors Leslie Wilcox (KHON-2), Jade Moon (KGMB-9) and Paul Drewes (KHNL-8) to make their respective pitches.
