Rep. Galen Fox to return as GOP leader

Rep. Galen Fox, R-21st (Kapahulu, Diamond Head), will remain as minority leader for the Republican caucus in the state House of Representatives.

Fox will lead a minority caucus of 15, down from the 19 Republicans who were in the House the past two years, according to a release issued by the GOP caucus yesterday.

Rep. Colleen Meyer, R-47th (Ha'iku, Kahalu'u, La'ie), will move up to minority floor leader, replacing Charles Djou, who ran successfully for the City Council. Meyer was previously minority assistant leader.

Rep. Chris Halford, R-11th (S. Maui), will continue as minority policy leader. Minority whips will be representatives Mark Moses, R-40th (Makakilo, Kapolei, Royal Kunia), Guy Ontai, R-37th (Mililani, Waipi'o), and Kika Bukoski, R-12th (Upcountry Maui). Assistant floor leader will be Rep. Cynthia Thielen, R-49th (Kailua, Mokapu).
