Man sought in Waimanalo carjacking

Police need the public's help in solving an Oct. 29 armed carjacking near Waimanalo.

A man was in a rental car at Mel's Market, 41-1029 Kalaniana'ole Highway, at 7:40 p.m. when a gunman took the gold, four-door 2001 Chevy Impala, Hawai'i plates JPU 600.

The robber was in his early 20s, 6 feet tall, slim, with brown eyes. He wore a red bandana, white tank top and jeans. The weapon is possibly a silver .45-caliber pistol.
