Soldiers from Hawai'i's 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, prepared for a live-fire training exercise recently during Keen Sword Oriental Shield 2003 in Japan.
The biannual combined field exercise allows U.S. and Japanese Self-Defense Force soldiers to share tactics, techniques and procedures, which strengthen military relationships and promote alliance interoperability.
