Filipino yuletide event Nov. 24

Pasko, a Filipino holiday celebration, will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Honolulu Academy of Arts.

The event will feature a Festivals of the Philippines, with Ati-Atihan costuming and dancing, video, food, exhibits and arts and crafts.

Admission is free.

Korean works on concert bill

Works by Korean composers will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 26 at Atherton Performing Arts Studio at Hawai'i Public Radio, 738 Kaheka St.

Participating musicians will include Ignace Jang, violin; Scott Anderson, clarinet and bass clarinet; and Robert Pollock, pianist. Special guests will be I Bei Lin, cello; and Susan McGinn, flute.

The chamber music program is being sponsored by Maui's Ebb & Flow Arts and Hawai'i Public Radio, with support from the Centennial Committee of Korean Immigration to Hawai'i and other community organizations.

Jee Young Kim, a noted South Korean composer, will be in attendance.

Tickets: $17.50 for adults, $15 for HPR members and $10 for students.

'Fiddler' tickets open up Thursday

Paliku Theatre at Windward Community College has opened a block of reserved seats for sale, at regular prices, for Thursday's opening night performance of "Fiddler on the Roof." Tickets are $25; $20 for seniors, military, UH staff, students and children.

Tickets are still available for the opening night Gala Benefit, $100, featuring a gourmet buffet.

Circus X dance concert planned

Jazz, hip-hop and ballet from several O'ahu dance troupes featuring up-and-coming young dancers will be featured in Circus X Dance Concert, at 8 p.m. Dec. 6, 7, 13 and 14 and 4 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Ronald E. Bright Theatre, Castle High School. Tickets are $10 in advance at Windward Mall, or $12 at the door. 235-5141.
