Campbell Estate names new CEO

By Walter Wright
Advertiser Staff Writer

Steve MacMillan, a career executive with Campbell Estate, has been named the estate's new chief executive officer.

MacMillan will succeed Dave McCoy, who recently resigned after 10 years with the estate to pursue other interests, according to Richard Gushman, chairman of the board of trustees.

Gushman said Davis will be missed after the many contributions he has made to the growth and diversification of the estate as well as the development of the City of Kapolei.

Gushman said the estate was fortunate to have been able to promote from within in choosing MacMillan as the new CEO.

MacMillan, who joined the estate staff in 1981 after holding positions at Amfac and Nikko USA, rose through the ranks at Campbell, serving most recently as chief operating officer.

A graduate of the University of Hawai'i with a degree in architecture, MacMillan is completing the Harvard Advanced Management Development Program. He has 30 years of experience in the real estate industry.

Born and raised in Hawai'i, MacMillian lives in Kahala with his wife and two children.

He serves as chairman of the board of Child and Family Service, and is past president of the board of the Wai'anae Coast Comprehensive Health Center.
