USGA's Fay, PGA's Orender to speak

Advertiser Staff

The Aloha PGA Golf Conference, featuring David Fay, executive secretary of the United States Golf Association, and M.G. Orender, incoming president of the PGA of America as guest speakers, will be Saturday at the Sheraton-Waikiki Hotel.

Also at the conference, which is open to the public, will be Robert Trent Jones Jr., architect of nearly a dozen golf courses in Hawai'i, including the Po'ipu Bay Resort, site of next week's PGA Grand Slam of Golf, and a number of USGA and local golf industry leaders. Mark Rolfing, NBC-TV golf analyst, will be the moderator.

Geared toward creating a better understanding of golf's benefits to the community and the state's tourist industry, the conference will be from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The cost is $50, which includes continental breakfast and lunch.
