Tonight's Must-See
"Black and Blue" (1999), 8 p.m., USA Network. Originally made for CBS, this was one of the best TV movies of recent years. A great actress worked with a taut script adapted from an Anna Quindlen novel. When Fran (Mary Stuart Masterson) married Bobby (Anthony LaPaglia) she became an outsider. Now she's in a world of Italian cops. When her husband becomes brutal, she has no one to turn to. One solution is to grab her son, leave New York and live in Florida under an assumed name. It's a brilliant character drama.
Of Note
"Bond Girls Are Forever," 6 p.m., AMC. If you missed this amiable documentary, here's another chance. Maryam d'Abo, who appeared in one of the films, visits many of the other actresses from 40 years of James Bond films.
