Veriato misses cut

Hilo's Steve Veriato shot a 2-over 74 on Wednesday and missed the cut at the Champions Tour Qualifying Tournament with a 150 total at the World Woods Golf Club in Homassassa Springs, Fla.

Japan's Seiji Ebihara fired a 65 yesterday for 200 total and a four-stroke lead over Jim Ahern (65) and Des Smyth (69).

The top eight after today's final round receive full privileges next year. The next eight finishers, and ties, receive conditional status.
