Tellabrate the art of storytelling

Jeff Gere will be among the storytellers at Tellabration! today at McCoy Pavilion.

Storytelling is an art; just ask the Moonlight Storytellers, a local group that promotes storytelling and helps storytellers improve their skills at monthly story swaps. They'll take part in today's Tellabration! — a worldwide event in which thousands of people will gather in small towns and big cities for an evening of storytelling — with a Beginning Telling Workshop 2-5 p.m. at McCoy Pavilion followed by a Storytelling Concert 7 to 9:30 p.m.

Guest storytellers include Jeff Gere, Yona Chock, Makia Malo, Vernyce Dannells, Janice Brenner, Danilo Marrone and Vicky Dworkin. The events are free, but donations are welcome for the concert; $3 per person or $10 for a group of four or more. 262-2049.
